lol, definitely didn't expect what I found here. The best thing....hands down is a nice suit jacket. Several pipes, tins, cleaners, and looking good to boot.

A good option for someone on a budget is amazon. I got mine, a tobacco/pipe pouch combo for 17.00. No plastic liner smell coming off of it, and it holds darn near a full ounce of baccy.

Because its the internet:
Kid comes home with a note from his teacher that he had been fighting.
Mom: Son what happened today at school?
Son: Billy called me a sissy.
Mom: And what did you do?
Son: I hit him with my purse..
(I have a couple different pouches around from my local B&M. They are easier to find than I thought they might have been.)

I like the Comoy's Leather Pipe Tobacco Pouch for $20 delivered from Amazon. Great reviews. Will not hold a long pipe but very well made and handy. Highly recommend it.

Go to Best Buy or a a camera shop and look at some camera bags. They have all sorts of pockets, are more functional than some pipe bags, and may cost much less. I've been using camera bags for years.

I have several pouches on hand with the different tobacco's I generally smoke, I also have a couple of zip up pipe bags which carry 2-7 pipes so I can mix up what my rotation will be. Once I have what I'm taking sorted out I include several lighters all recharged with butane, several types are of pipe cleaners, length, thickness, plain and bristle, a few tampers and my Dunhill pipe cloth. All in all that's quite a kit to place wher things could be grabbed easily plus what they travel in has to be able to handle any further expansion of what is already going so I chose this vintage US Mailbag for the job. Cheers.....

I've routinely used a bandanna. I just tie it up like a hobo's bindle and go, but I only do this when I"m traveling from my house to across town to a relatives house. Longer or more active trips I use a camera bag.

I splurged and bought a very nice Erik Stokkebye "man purse" at one of the shows this year. It's a great bag, but I still do find myself looking over my shoulder for strange stares when I carry it.
Honestly, I usually bring one pipe with me when I am mobile. I have a nice simple leather pouch of sorts that will fit the pipe, some cleaners and my small zip up tobacco pouch. Even this I find to be a bit much at times.
