I have a ton of bees wax around the house. Can it be useful for anything in the piping world (e.g. shine the stem, shine the briar, etc.)?

Say @Briar Lee I like that bent Apple.
I've not before noticed the 3-star emblem on the stem.
What brand does that signify?
My first thought was: Oh shit, here we go again.
But he hasn't replied since Sunday so it may be ok.

Might be able to use it on a stem that doesn't fit right.

Yes you can, this is exactly what I use it for all the time, works great.

Get it by the bar, and rub a small amount on the stem. This is the stuff I use.

Most meerschaum producers use refined white beeswax but they all have it.
Indeed but. the additives, usually "private" recipes, make a marked difference in the hardness. What is used, to my understanding is simply to keep the tobacco residues from bleeding/leeching completely through the pipe to the outer surface. At least that was the explanation a rep gave me. I've never worn off an original coating.

Pipes by Lee.

Reach for the stars, symbol of the world’s finest pipes, was Lee’s slogan.

The big Dublin is a low end James Upshall, called a Tilshead.

But whether a fine Lee or a bargain basement Tilshead, beeswax makes em shine.

Oh it's one of that particular brand.
Better not mention the name in case it's like Beetlejuice who will haunt my dreams . . . or was that Chucky?
Either way I'm not risking it just in case.

Uh-oh, Briar beat me to it by 2 minutes.
Either your ears were burning or Chucky gave you a heads-up.

James Upshall was the name of the particular line of pipes, Tilshead was the name of the pipe company, i.e. Tilshead Pipe Company.
