Congratulations! There is no vocation more important than parenthood. The greatest figures of human history were all the products of parenthood.
Don't worry too much about the future. There will be challenges but hundreds of millions have met them, mostly successfully, before you and your wife.

My oldest is about 15 and the other two are 6 and 11. The one piece of advice I wish I knew 15 yrs ago was to to make them feel secure. It is what all of us want, land inevitably want is love. It is easier said than done. The other is just as important. Faith! I spent a lot of years as an agnostic and did not give to rips about faith. Now that has all changed and I know now that I have virtually no control of what's to come in some regards. It is a incredibly strenuous vocation, but one of if not the most important to be a parent.

Congratulations!! Fatherhood ROCKS! It's the funniest, tenderest, toughest, most rewarding, most heartrending, white-knuckle ride EVER!! Enjoy every moment, because in the midst of it, it feels like the tough times will never end, and then they are gone in a flash and you, older and maybe wiser, run your hands through your hair and wonder how it could have gone by so quickly. Congratulations to you and bride.
