I wondered about that because when I googled Bayside, Savinelli was the only thing that came up.Possibly a Savinelli pipe made to be a tobacco store house pipe.
That's a good idea. The stem is in the oxiclean now. I'll start polishing in the morningI like the blast! Personally I'd add a bit more bend to that stem though!
How long do you leave it in the oxiclean? I read about it a long time ago but I think I made the mistake of using vinegar….That's a good idea. The stem is in the oxiclean now. I'll start polishing in the morning
I left it in for two hours, then scrubbed the oxidation off with a magic eraser. Now I have to polish it. The oxiclean does a good job at lifting the oxidation off the stem. It became loose enough that you can wipe it off with a paper towelHow long do you leave it in the oxiclean? I read about it a long time ago but I think I made the mistake of using vinegar….
I know nothing about it but for $25 that's a heckuva score/pipe!I just got this today at a local flea market. $25! It'll take some work to restore it but it'll be fun.
Can anyone tell me anything about it? I'm not familiar with the brand. It's marked Bayside Italy.View attachment 421243View attachment 421244View attachment 421245
Careful with the Oxiclean, it will cause oxidation and can leave pitting in the material. Magic Erasers can do the job without harsh chemicals.I left it in for two hours, then scrubbed the oxidation off with a magic eraser.
