I just got this today at a local flea market. $25! It'll take some work to restore it but it'll be fun.
Can anyone tell me anything about it? I'm not familiar with the brand. It's marked Bayside Italy.1000000557.jpg1000000558.jpg1000000559.jpg

That's a good idea. The stem is in the oxiclean now. I'll start polishing in the morning
How long do you leave it in the oxiclean? I read about it a long time ago but I think I made the mistake of using vinegar….

I left it in for two hours, then scrubbed the oxidation off with a magic eraser. Now I have to polish it. The oxiclean does a good job at lifting the oxidation off the stem. It became loose enough that you can wipe it off with a paper towel

Careful with the Oxiclean, it will cause oxidation and can leave pitting in the material. Magic Erasers can do the job without harsh chemicals.

I love it! It cleaned up easily and I smoked it yesterday and all I can say is WOW! It packed easily and had a perfect draw. I wondered if the tapered bowl contributed to this? It's the first tapered bowl I've tried.

It looks great. Well done.

BTW, there is a "Bayside Tobacco Co." that produces (or produced) pipe blends. Perhaps they had some pipes commissioned to be made in Italy to promote their products? Just a stab in the dark... Anyways, great work!
