Stick with VA or VA/per or something with heavy VA if you gonna age them. They turn out better. Any aromatics and Lat lose flavor over time.
I think this is good advice for starting a cellar. Although many great Virginia blends are available in bulk, I might focus on the tins. This way, if something changes, you'll have no problem selling or trading away aged Virginias in a tin.

As a guy just starting out on a working man’s pay, I’d have to say I’m envious of what you’ve got going on currently.
I’m getting closer to knowing where I’d like to go deep though.

Seems you got most of the families really depends on what you like.
I try to have 3-5 faves in each category would love to see what others enjoy.

You can do what you want, it's your cellar after all, but I only buy tobaccos I like or that there is a very high probability it will like. For me there is no point to buying tobacco just for the sake of buying it. I buy a few tins or ounces of something I haven't had before or a limited blend that interests me and I buy the stuff I know I like in bulk so when the day comes that it disappears I have it to enjoy.

Years back a lot of us old timers had ONE big tub on the end table. That was just fine.

Carter Hall, Edgeworth and H&H did me just fine. And look where we are now.
This is exactly how I prefer it. Simple.

1. Pick 3-5 blends you really enjoy.
2. I’d make sure that those blends aren’t very similar in flavor profile.
3. Stock as deep as you’re reasonably able if you’re building a cellar.

IMHO there is really no need to do more. ☕
