The '90s became a sort of pastiche of the previous 30 years, really, with added laddish. An Oasis reunion is all showbiz, wait til they get a Vegas residency.
A propos the Vegas Residency comment, I think they'd seen the billions Taylor Swift is taking in. Add to that a recent divorce settlement to the tune of $25 million (?) out of Noel Gallagher's pocket? I think he'll put up with his neanderthal brother for as long as he can. Sales of ticket insurance are sure to go through the roof. For my part I've got tickets to Paul Weller who I regard to be a rather more accomplished musician, if somewhat overlooked in the States. And happily I'll not likely need to tiptoe to scan over an ocean of Kangol hats.

Seems like there's been some push back from certain sections of the media against Oasis reforming. Won't make any difference, though. When these tickets go on sale they'll be snapped up like hot cakes.

Had to bump for this...I have no particular opinion or feelings one way or the other about Oasis, but I thought this was amusing lol:

The peculiar relationship between Oasis and periods of extreme market volatility

Whilst flitting through various online biographies, it occurred to me that the band have an uncanny ability to time their most notable chapters with periods of extreme volatility in financial markets. Whether it was: forming in 1990/91, during the early 1990s recession; releasing the infamous Definitely Maybe album in 1994, the year of the Great Bond Massacre; or breaking up in August 2009, just after the Global Financial Crisis.
