My B&M is 10.1 miles away and is the best B&M in the world. The problem is, 4oz of his awesome Black Truffle costs exactly $20 with tax, and I can get 8oz of 1Q or RLP-6 for $20.13 with shipping from smokingpipes; literally half the price. I want to support him but can't afford to pay double. This is also sad but true.

I enjoy visiting the various B&M shops I come across. There are two within 20 minutes, two about an hour out, and one about 90 minutes away. That doesn't mean that I don't order online, but I like to spread the wealth, so to speak.

all my B&M's are about 30 mins away.. I visit the same one as Hawk for the BS and porch. I generally will get a couple cigars and some Sugar Barrel bulk. I visit one on the east side of Columbus that has a huge pipe tobacco and cigar selection. Lot's of nice pipes new & estates. Decent enough lounge area with TV and coffee and geezers. I visit the Tinderbox at Easton to blow time while the wife shops. Nice guys and always busy. Bonus points for being next door to Irish Pub that allows smoking on the patio.

I enjoy the experience of going to my B&M which has a nice "pipe bar" and smoking lounge, where I can try blends i've always been curious about. I was there this past Saturday, and now in addition to the bulks that can be sampled, they have a big basket of open tins you can try as well.

My closest B&M is about 50 miles away and takes about 40 minutes on a good day... about an hour on an average day. So internet is the way I go 95% of the time.

Now when Claremont Tobacco house was open it was about 10-15 minutes away and he stocked almost 90% pipe related merchandise and about 10% cigars... so it was heaven! and always spent my money there as well as hang out. I sure miss it :(

I do both as my local b&m is about 50% over internet cost I do most of my shopping online but I get there at least once a month and drop some coin to support local business. Of course since he is also a customer of mine its a give and take sort of relationship.
