I smoke some aros, I started off with aros, but now I may smoke 5 bowls of aromatics a year, dont get me wrong there is some good natural aromatic blends out there but it takes a special person to create a good flavor blend from natural different tobaccos “The way pipe smoking should be in my opinion “

Cheaper low end pouch blends will have more fake flavourings, and higher end blends will generally be more natural, but not 100%. It’s like dollar store Captain black cigars Vs Cubans. But I remember getting Mac Baren vanilla flake and it reeked of fake chemical flavours, in fact I’d prefer Captain Black white. Your taste and smell can also guide you,,,

Greg Pease had started off with this premise. The only thing he has added to his blends so far is a sprinkle of liquor on some of his blends. Many dispute his claims though. He used to come on here to discuss this with us, but trolls noticed that they could get him on here by starting the argument that his blends "were" cased or topped, so he stopped doing that.

So far, the only blender that I know of that has a selection of some tobaccos without any casings is Jeremy at C&D, but not all of their blends are casing/topping free. (I'm including GLP and the other brands that C&D handles here, because Jeremy is doing Greg's blending) And, I think this is where people get riled up. Some members can't distinguish between some and all.

Some have suggested that Macbaren's HH line has no casings, but some of us taste a casing, and they've not commented on that. But, power to them if they are free of any casings or such. They are pretty good blends regardless.

I don't hate all cased tobaccos. But, I do appreciate enjoying an uncased blend from time to time. To me, it shows a higher level of craft and art in blending than just splashing something on it to create balance or make it proprietary to the brand.

The corn that makes up like 70% of our foods is doused in glyphosate.

The corn itself is modified to the point that it ain't a "natural" product.

"Food grade"... "Pure"... "Organic"... "All Natural"

None of that means a hill of beans.

Go google spider goats or insect dna in salmon... Natural isn't a thing anymore.

The dystopic future is here, baby. Enjoy the ride... Smoke and eat what taste good.

I recall many, many years ago a food scientist saying he could replicate tastes/aromas in his lab better than the original.
Only 2 things he couldn’t better were the smell of freshly ground coffee and that of bread fresh out of the oven.

One of my favourite ice creams in years past was an organic strawberry.
After years of poor sales because of its very pale colour the maker gave in and added red colouring so it looked more like what the market expected ☹️

I am an assiduous reader of food labels 😏
