If someone asked you to recommend an aromatic, how many here would say, “Try Granger” besides Duane whom, to my amusement, insists that Granger is an Aromatic.
These blends should be known as semi-aromatics. They are flavored.

I don't mind this sort of thing usually, but I always wonder, with so many assholes that constantly post hatred of a company for dinging their boxes in the mail, or hating a pipe company, or people who actually only post complaints, why do I get this rep? I mean, I understand the cob thing, because cob guys suck... but, I can go through and be positive and supportive for f'n weeks on end, then make on joke, and it's "Cosmic is so negative."
Cosmic is coming with the heat on this thread! I just think everyone’s pH and mouth chemistry is unique to them. I am primarily a burley smoker but I also enjoy virginia blends. I don’t smoke English blends or cavendish-based/goopy aromatics as I haven’t found any in either camp that I enjoy. I’ve had some virginias that give me an almost chemical burn in my mouth, and I’m sure there are people out there who experience a similar sensation with certain burleys. I can’t fault these people for not enjoying a scorched mouth. Combine all of this with the fact that our tastes change over time and we have a complex question on our hands.

I like Burley, but more in a VaBur like Golden Mixture/Blend than a full burley like ABF. ABF took a long time to open up for me, 3 months in the tin its moisture is on point and I get a more molasses sweetness mixed with a earthy connotation (not that I have ever ate dirt). I have a tin of HH Burley Flake I'm looking forward to open next. Dark Fired is something I like a smidge of, ODF knocked me on my ass. Dunno if you qualify MB Navy Flake as a burley, but that's something I cellar for.

That's like asking why everyone wants cake. Why that one lady has such lovely legs. Why a dog wagging its tail makes anyone with a soul smile? Something just are what they are and you just have something about you that makes people want to mess with you and tease you. Why couldn't really say. In part cause you're a good sport about it mostly. But it's just one of those biological facts, being human makes it fun to mess with Cosmic.
Personally I would miss any strain of tobacco terribly if it disappeared. Va or burly. They're all good. Oh and that includes aromatics.

Beets taste pretty good though? The earthiness is at least balanced out by the excellent flavor, especially pickled beets, amazing.
