Asian one depends on which country. There are a couple of Japanese and Thailand horror movies which are really scary.

I don't know if you've seen The Wicker Man but that's definitely worth watching.

And when I say The Wicker Man I mean the original 1973 version and not the remake.....

All joking aside my favourite horror movies are the original Suspiria from 1977 and the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

With you 100%, would add Don’t Look Now and the best of them all, Wicker Man.

When i first came to the UK in 2000 the Empire magazine did a 100 best horror films special, lost the issue in the many times I moved, sadly.

I didn't know that anyone outside Italy knew Italian horror movies, I'm surprised :D

I grew up seeing Dario Argento movies, my mother was a fan of horror movies so she would let me see them with her until late when I was a child.
Inferno and Opera are two other movies by Dario Argento that I loved.
Well, now I see them... and they don't have the same effect on me unfortunately.

Inferno and Opera are two other movies by Dario Argento that I loved.
Well, now I see them... and they don't have the same effect on me unfortunately. I agree about losing some effect, especially after multiple viewings, but they have never totally let go of me.

I've loved Italian horror since the late '70's, as well as other genres, giallo, poliziotteschi, western just to name a few. They don't make them like that anywhere else. I love Inferno and Opera, pretty much all of Argento's work up until the late '80's or so.

I think "Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom" is a great horror movie but some people hate it. Same goes for The Human Centipede.
