It's really not as bad as some people say, but there is also violence of sexual nature which can be upsetting to some. Overall it's decent, but I don't know if I would call it a masterpiece.

Never banned in the U.S. I actually this for the first time on 42nd St. Definitely banned in the U.K., until the late '90's I think.
This one I always found entertaining. May be worth a watch for you if you haven't seen it before.

If you want, I can throw up some recommendations with the posters, to give you an idea of what they may be like. Italian horror is a world of it's own. Many hate it, but I happen to love it.
