A MM Riverboat Gambler pipe is $12.99. How much could a no-name possibly save you?
You are correct. The pipe was hanging on a MM display about 10 feet behind a counter. It wasn't worth me driving 20 minutes to return it.Truth be told, I think the OP thought he was getting a MM cob as it was hanging on an MM display.
He could ask for a refund because that's false advertising
On the other hand, he could get one of his kids to paint it, then list on EBay for $300 as a "genuinely rare, mint-y, one-off hand-finished item".
I went to a local shop and seen this hanging behind the counter on a missouri meerschaum display. With about a dozen other cobs and some genuine ozark hardwood pipes. As i was checking out I told the lady behind the counter to to let me get one of the cobs. I thought because they were hanging on a missouri meerschaum display that they would be legit, boy was I wrong. I'm not even upset about it. I figured since I already have it that I will torture test it and post results until It falls apart.
Have any of you ever had one of these, if so how does it smoke?
I don't plan on it. Plus the only pipe tobacco that they sold was Super Value.I would just never visit a shop pulling this kind of chicanery again
No burning shank/stem at the bottom of the bowlLooking at these pictures, I might actually like how this cob is joined with the shank vs MM.

Great idea, but: Isn't that more ETSY than eBay? .Truth be told, I think the OP thought he was getting a MM cob as it was hanging on an MM display.

I prefer the MM Gentleman also. I smoke those 80% of the time. Only $18 or so.Today I picked up a Country Gentleman and Wow what a difference. The China cob smokes fine, but the MM feels so much more substantial in my hand
