Ha ha! There is more talk about shoving a pipe in your ass than smoking a Peterson System pipe. So I have to ASSume rectal smoking ranks higher than Peterson pipes here.Personally I kinda like my Peterson. The proof is in the well after you are done. I'm still learning and I do not smoke typical goopy aros. I air dry moist flakes and tobacco on a shoe box cover, try real hard to keep a "sipping" cadence and when my pipe is cool enough to pull the stem it still requires 3 Q-tips to dry the well. I always run a cleaner through a moist smoking pipe while smoking and I am meticulous about cleaning my pipes when finished. For me my System XL, so far, is my favorite pipe to smoke for a long dry relaxing bowl, as far as "anal puffing", I'll wait to see if Brian can get a guest to explain that technique in "Pipe Parts".

@craig94yl - Yes, I love Peterson System pipes, especially the old ones - I have a'Patent' and a 'pre-Republic' bent billiard (both bought from rebornbriar). They have a very smooth draw, but the stem is not particularly suited to long clenching.
Fifteen years ago my very first briar was a System Bent Billiard. I was so pleased with it that I kept uncoupling the stem to tip out the juice (every ten minutes!). So much so that the tenon became loose and the bowl would sometimes fall off unexpectedly, including one drunken evening when I was taking a piss and the bowl fell hissing into the toilet!!
Ever since (and waaaaay before I started using Rad Davis pipes as anal sex toys) I have sat down to piss. So maybe all Peterson System smokers should do the same?

As someone already pointed out, use a filter.

@seagull, most experienced pipers don't use filters, indeed they may buy pipes made to take filters yet smoke them without. Filters remove some taste/flavour from the smoke, and apart from in some European countries they have largely fallen out of favour.

bryan, you got me. I was doing some anal smoking and I forget it was there and I sat down by mistake. After a few hours in surgery, they were finally able to remove my pipe. Luckily I did not snap the stem off and was able to save the pipe. This is a pic of the pipe so you can see why it took so long to get it out.


flakey, I totally agree about not using a filter because you do lose flavor. Over the years I have owned a number of Winslow 9mm and Savinelli 6mm pipes and they smoked great without the filter.

I definitely recommend using filters during anal smoking, you really dont want to mess with rectal or prostate cancer. That said, using a plip will definitely have a greater "impact" on your prostate.

@flakey Thanks for the tip. My bowl fell off once in the parking lot. At least I didn't have to sterilize it before reassembling. "It's always funny when it happens to someone else."

@Harris, I can appreciate why your injuries were so grievous. Have you ever wished you were a dog, so you could lick your wounds?
PS Is that a piece of furniture or a pipe?? If you put a sheet of glass on it you would have an impressive-looking coffee table!!!
