As some of you know, last September I suffered a catastrophic back failure that left me unable to walk more than about 20 feet and only in agonizing pain. It forced me to cancel my planned trip to Vegas for the Vegas Pipe Show and to pretty much cancel everything else.
Today I reached a new milestone. For the first time since last September, I was able to walk from my townhouse all the way to the far end of downtown Ashland and back, a distance of 4 1/2 miles. It was slower going with the cane and all, but I made it. Feels great!
Congratulations! That’s great news! Keep pushing!

Congrats on the great progress! Back problems are brutal.

I’m always amazed that a spine generally functions as well as they usually do. What an engineering nightmare.

Jesse, I've been there and done that. Your recovery to date brings me great happiness for you. Wonderful news!
