Pretty but I see no decisive evidence that it's a Bauer. Tread carefully, even BC uses briar as an extension.



I would definitely be asking for a photo of the stamp.

Thanks to this thread I found out that my Austrian gourd calabash which I bought in the late 70's- early '80s is an Andreas Bauer.

It has the distinctive Bauer turned briar ferrule.
Only marking is "Austria" stamped on the ferrule
