I have a few tins coming up on the 4 year mark. I really like Escudo, but fresh tins are just a shade too full for me to be a regular smoke. However, i really enjoy it as a change of pace. I'm really looking forward to having it aged. I'm hoping it mellows just that little bit for me.

I love Escudo, though I don't smoke it that often. I still have tins made by Petersen, which was wonderful production. The STG product is pretty good, but this blend does improve with aging. Much more flavorful that PS LBF fresh. PS LBF does mature into a good smoke with a few years on it. Smoke these pretty dry and very slowly and the flavors will really pop.

I stockpile Escudo the way doomsday preppers stockpile MREs and lead. It's one of a small handful of blends that I add to every single order and pile up in the back of the cabinet.

I wonder if Futureman still has some of the Escudo he speaks. He could tell us how 3 years changes the taste.

Never been much of a VA guy, but the way people talk about this I always fee like I should give it a shot.
I got to try some of the Copes years ago. Can that the owner of my B&M had stashed away. Couldn't really say much about the flavor but the word "rich" seems to stick in my head.
