That would be American
I didnt have the best stem replacement with a Baki using Mark. I wouldn't go through him for another stem. Im glad i never had a response to my email that I sent to Briarville to have the Tinsky issue rectified.

Good resource to know. I'll definitely keep them in mind as a backup if George doesn't want to do those two stems (although trusting my two Dunhills roundtrip thru the international mail system doesn't exactly give me a warm and fuzzy feeling). If you’re willing to play Russian roulette with the postal service, perhaps Geoff at Cambridge pipe repairs.
I had Rich Lewis make a stem for my Ken Barnes pipe a few years ago. I wanted something other than the black stem it came with. NYT Black/Orange 8 Swirl. Top notch work.
There's no such thing as a "simple tenon replacement" if it's being done correctly.Jesus. Thanks for posting this. I've been searching for a place to do a simple tenon replacement and keep getting "red flags". The last person I emailed seemed to want to replace the whole stem rather than the tenon. The guy before that kept my pipes for six months and kept blowing me off.
Thanks. I think one of Jesse's recommendations will suffice. If you’re willing to play Russian roulette with the postal service, perhaps Geoff at Cambridge pipe repairs.
I'm also interested to hear any recommendations for highest quality stem replacement (specifically for two 1920's-era Patent Dunhills I own). @georged is generally recognized as the about the best there is, but he told me he is tremendously backed up and recommended I first see if I could find someone else (although he did tell me to circle back with him again in a few months and let him know if I had no luck). Price and waiting time are secondary to me on these two pipes; best quality, period-correct stem work is the priority...
Well, their US pipe repair wasn't exactly the best before soHere is the only official Pipe Repair Shop of Dunhill in the US. From their website

Totally. My recommendation was for the Dunhill stems not your one. In the meantime some duct tape and a cob stem will see ya rightThanks. I think one of Jesse's recommendations will suffice.
I'm feeling a distinct lack of empathy.Totally. My recommendation was for the Dunhill stems not your one. In the meantime some duct tape and a cob stem will see ya right
Apologies if it came across that way. The stem replacement sucks, given what you asked for. As you say, Jesse has provided a good list and you already know some artisan carvers.I'm feeling a distinct lack of empathy.
I was joking. But thanks for being sensitive. LOLApologies if it came across that way. The stem replacement sucks, given what you asked for. As you say, Jesse has provided a good list and you already know some artisan carvers.
I don’t know briarville, but I see them recommended here regularly. It is helpful to get a clearer picture of some of their work. It is also helpful to know that you were refunded.
Whew! I was hoping I didn’t have to call the wham-bulance (did I use it right?)I was joking. But thanks for being sensitive. LOL
Someone better call whine-1-1 to get a whambulance on standby.Whew! I was hoping I didn’t have to call the wham-bulance (did I use it right?)
She's Mark's ex, I believe. If that link is meant to go directly to Mark Tinsky, it doesn't (the person who owns the business at that link is listed as Mary Ann Keller, whose profile says she used to work with Mark).
