Geez, what a night. I got home at 11:30 PM. Lot's of laughs and a new development from Russ. A most enjoyable time.

andy, that "blend" was a real leg pull by Russ but we got him thinking about it. The new blend he's working on is a latakia blended with Costa Rican cigar leaf and everyone there liked it a lot. Not your typical cigar blend at all. It is very smooth and quite enjoyable.

Russ's Latakia/Cigar Leaf blend is a winner. Very smooth and rich.

LOL I did wonder when I read the description, but I don't smoke aro's so hadn't really got a clue. Clueless, that's me! The real thing sounds good, though!

OK, boys and girls, the next meeting is on for Monday, October 27, at The Wooden Match in Bethlehem starting around 7:00 PM. I'm looking forward to seeing the usual suspects plus some new folks. On tap are this month's Sutliff care package- a Taste Of Autumn, Brown Bogie Rope and some very interesting things from Andy Stewart, our London member. Andy sent us Warrior Plug, Revor, Plug and a tin of Samuel Gawith Virginia Flake specially tinned for the London Pipe Club.

As usual, everyone is invited. The beer and food are great. The company of the club members is always questionable and we can promise an interesting evening full of laughs. Other than that we have nothing going on.

So Happy Smoke Rings until Monday.

I have an all-day shoot in Reading that ends at 5p.
I have to be in NYC at 9a Tuesday for the start of a 3-day shoot.
I should just drive in Monday night and stay over.

Makes sense AFTER the pipe club meeting. Avoid the traffic and leave the Wooden Match at 9:30. In NY before 11:00 and you're good to go. Simon will excuse you for one night.

There will be a director's meeting of the El Crappo Tobacco Company on Friday.
The agenda is sequestered, but sources say that it will include corned beef, cole slaw and Russian dressing. Rye may be involved, as well. Analysts warn that a last minute maneuver may steer the meeting towards sushi, but that possibility is not expected to influence on-going discussions of the viability of alcohol consumption prior to 3pm.

Intriguing but has no bearing on the all-important Wooden Match gathering where alcohol, tobacco and fun is guaranteed sans the sushi.
