Well, he's full of gas for sure. Andy, welcome to the LVPC. Your name will be added to the cardboard sign of original members. Now where did I put those crayons?

Just a point of order:

How can we make Andy a member if we can't put him through our traditional (and mandatory) hazing ritual? The Seek-and-Find through the storm sewers of Bethlehem, PA is a time-honored tradition, going back to the founding days of our club. Think of all of the potential members who never made it out. Would we have wanted them as cohorts?

Well, then a field trip is in order to ensure that a sufficient challenge is presented to plebes. Our Travel and Accommodations Committee should start making the arrangements.

puff, Monday, July 28 at the Wooden Match. I won't be there as my bride and I will be in Virginia and then Charlotte, NC visiting family. Have a great time and I'll see everyone in August.

John - congratulations on the wedding and hope you enjoy the forthcoming visits.
Bring on the initiation (great pic BTW!); we tend to use the storm ditches and drains in the fields around me for things like that. Especially fun if you get the newbie in a drain and then block all the exits while you go to the pub. You just have to remember to go back for them if it rains heavily...not drowned anyone yet, but come close. Have learned to take someone capable of CPR just in case!

Also, if you speak French to someone in this part of England you're likely to get shot and chucked in a storm drain - same end result just don't have to worry about the rain!

Guys:

I'll be working at the Allentown Plaza on Tuesday, 7/22. I'll be free after 7 PM. Is anyone up for an impromptu get-together at the Wooden Match? I'm staying at the Lehigh Airport Fairfield Inn, that has to be pretty close.

Al, unfortunately I'll be away that week or I'd be happy to meet you. Your hotel is about 10 minutes away from the Wooden Match. Maybe Dan (woodsroad) might be available.

Hang on a minute. That's next week and I am around. I'll check my calendar and let you know. I should be able to be there by 7:30. I'll PM you later and try to get Dan to join us.
