I think he was referencing where it is made. That is Kendal I believe. Most Kendalls aren't Lakeland. If not unflavored, they are mostly fruit flavored. BaNana, blueberry, strawberry, etc.

I'm aware of the Kendal dual-use shags, but GH Kendal Flake and SG Kendal Cream Deluxe are both floral... KF moreso, but mostly I was playing off of the name of the town in which it was formerly produced. Lakeland, Kendal, and Gawiths are all pretty interchangeable monikers afaic. Most Kendalls aren't Lakeland. If not unflavored, they are mostly fruit flavored. BaNana, blueberry, strawberry, etc.
Interesting. I know some real Ennerdale fans who prefer fresh, and prefer tins over bulk.I find it's even better with a couple of years age on it, It goes dark in colour and it tastes better.
I recently ran out of my aged stuff and bought somes fresh, it doesn't taste as nice, well to me it doesn't anyway. I bought another 100g to age while I smoke the fresh stuff. Wish I'd thought ahead a bit and got some a year ago to cellar.
Wtf did I just watch hahaha@chasingembers is correct about the 'fruit' thing. He also gets the Sunday prize for figuring out how to write the name of a yellow fruit without some weird looking emoji thing popping up instead. If it isn't Rose Geranium and you don't breed ferrets and wear a battered tweed jacket with a flat cap it isn't real 'Up North' tobacco. Here are a group of Lakeland smokers on holiday!
That's a bit like the tendency to call all soft drinks Coke.Lakeland, Kendal, and Gawiths are all pretty interchangeable monikers afaic.
Is it? Seems like the opposite, like calling Coke a soft drink, which it is. Not all Kendal tobacco is floral but all Lakeland florals are Kendal tobacco. When people say Lakeland they are sometimes referring to florals and sometimes just referring to tobaccos made by SG or GH. Lakeland Dark isn't floral but it's hard to argue it isn't a Lakeland tobacco because of the name and area of production, etc.. Although GH has a line of tobaccos that used to be advertised as RYO called Kendal _____, they also make Kendal Flake which is a bonafide Lakeland floral with rose geranium, heliotropin, musk, and tonquin. And SG, imminently less floral than GH, makes Kendal Cream, which I don't find to be all that floral, but every one else seems to. So, just like Kendal is an area within the greater Lakeland region, I'd say Kendal tobacco is by definition Lakeland tobacco, and can be produced by either of the Gawiths. All good if that's how you like to label the subgenres, but I don't think the Gawiths set out for the Kendal badge to mean nonfloral and Lakeland to mean floral. That's a bit like the tendency to call all soft drinks Coke.
You mean sodas?
? Issa drank.Pop, bro
Fizzy juice you mean? You mean sodas?
I was in a restaurant in Tennessee the first time I noticed it. The waitress asked what kind of Coke I wanted. I asked what kind they had and she said Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Barq's, and Red Cream Soda. I've noticed it several times since. You mean sodas?

Exact. Kendal Flake has floral topping too. Kendal is the region... Lakeland District mor specific. So really a Lakeland tobacco might not have any topping. Burley and Bright is a Lakeland produced tobacco with no topping. Is it? Seems like the opposite, like calling Coke a soft drink, which it is. It gets goooooodI tried the tinned because I read that it was stronger but I found absolutely zero difference. Then again the bulk I buy over here (England) is always very fresh.
As for aging it I've only had 2 year old Ennerdale, I'd love to try some 5 & 10 year old stuff to see the difference.
I hate that term. LolPop, bro
Growing up in Indiana I heard it way too much for my liking. I'm not a fan of it either. In Southeast Missouri it's "sodee". I swear those people live on fountain Pepsi and scratcher tickets.I hate that term. Lol
sounds like you’re trying to score a rock on the street.
