We have different jobs I guess. And I say I buy to age, that hides my paranoia. I do truly believe within 15 years tobacco will be restricted to the point where grey markets flourish. Any kind of nicotine product.

No question there, just asking why you buy pre-aged. My entire collection, pipe, chew, and cigarette was bought up to hedge against rising cost and availability. At my current rate of consumption, I've got nearly 45 years worth of tobacco.

I phrased that wrong. I buy it before it's aged.

For me there is Three options:
1. Cheep and good ,but basically simple- Three Sails.
2. Expensive ,but generally in stock - Capstan blue(golden middle solution) or Orlik Golden Slice
3. Expensive ,with stock problems from time to time - Ratrrays Marlin Flake

I think ennerdale flake is the perfect all day tobacco. But I very rarely smoke all day so perhaps my opinion is not worth too much!

I have six blends, all capable of being smoked bowl after bowl. When heading out to shoot I usually grab enough "Three Star Blue" to last the day, 8-10 bowls. But. the choice could just as easily be "Navy Flake", "Balkan Supreme" and so forth from the "chosen few."

I need to try some IRC blue.
I believe that was my dad’s smoke-unfortunately when I was visiting him last in sept, his age as gotten to the point where he couldn’t pick which IRC blend he smoked out of a lineup, and I partied to and for too many years to remember.

As to the topic, I started out thinking an all day smoke wouldn’t be to hard to find.
I was wrong. Now I carry 4 Snus tins packed with a variety in my lunchbox and still reach for something different when I get home.
Heck, I load what I think I want and half the time smoke it thinking “maybe I should’ve had xxxxx”

Hopefully I’ll find a Goldilocks blend someday, but I’m enjoying finding my groove.

I think your opinion is on the money. I smoke all day (well, not continuously). I like to smoke a variety of blends rather than repeating the same one, but Ennerdale is certainly in the mix.
