I’m not going to claim that it “ages well.” I will offer that it tastes real good to smoke when it’s sat in a jar for a couple/few years. It mellows out, and gets tangy. (Other opinions will follow.)
My lot is going on 7 years old and every time I smoke a bowl I am amazed at what a wonderful blend it is. Is it getting better ? I don't know, but it certainly isn't getting worse.

They don't ship to Canada, I don't think

I will tell you from experience that aged ODF is a wonderful treat. I've had the flake version with 3+ years on it and it was great.
I have also tried the Ready Rubbed version fresh and it was nowhere near the olfactory and taste experience I had with the flake.
I have however been aging my first purchase of the Ready Rubbed for about 6 months now and can tell you that it has changed for the better. Substantially? No, but a positive and notable difference. I bought 8oz of the ready rubbed a few months ago and stored it for the future. It will get better. The flake version is great too and amplifies all the great qualities of the ready rubbed due to the form. I however can't pass up the bulk pricing of the ready rubbed.

I bought the flake version last Fall and smoked it in a wide bowl...didn’t really like it except for the first time. The aroma was amazing. Just a great smoky, Fall aroma as I smoked it on my back porch above the creek. Then after that it just didn’t really interest me.

How does flake vs ready rubbed affect the experience? Just curious. I know there are a lot of proponents of flakes on here, but I thought people just end up rubbing the flakes out regardless (I fold them).
I have had some since the first release, and I can't really see any improvement or change... not like a straight Virginia. But, it is still as good as any fresh that I have had.
I bought some of the 2012 tins from foggymountain and it was THE smoke that taught me the value of aging.
The flavors move from the mid to the deeper end of the taste spectrum, gaining (for lack of a better descriptor) almost a chocolate covered cherry trait. The last third of an aged flake, folded and stuffed, is, to me, what pipe smoking is all about.

Maybe the ready rubbed had the burleys/Virginia in different proportions perhaps? Interesting indeed
