Ads are required, yes, but ads overflow is not: it's not only unnecessary, but counterproductive as it can decimate the customer base.

I see ads after the first couple of comments and just above the reply box too now. I understand if something like this is implemented to encourage traffic to sign up for accounts and participate but to have it for accounted members seems a bit much.

The number of ads seems to fluctuate over the reply box, either one or two.

But there are still ads everywhere else though.

I am now quite aware that if I buy a new Peterson pipe, I get a free Sherlock Holmes tamper from Smoking pipes Europe though, so that's something.

Well, not much consolation, but at least they aren't location-based ads—those are the real creepy ones!
