Totally impressive. These photos should all be saved, and certainly the boxes themselves,
for the mega pipe museum ... somewhere. Has anyone read the inside top of the Savenelli
pipe box lately? At least some of them have a wonderful primer on pipe smoking, which among
other things supports the idea that stems should not be removed from pipes until they are
entirely cold after smoking. Many other good and worthy suggestions on there, for beginners
and old pipers who just want to compare the doctrine with their own habits. I'm mostly in
sympathy with what they say, and thanks to my wife who gave me a breathtaking Sav
673KS bent Rhodesian Opera with contrasting briar bands for Christmas. What an elegant
and stately pipe it is. And best of all, it smokes like a dream.
