Meantime, you Russ fans might want to get a tin of Fire Storm. Just cracked my tin, and it's a lovely blend right out of the tin, even burning and as promised intricate and tasty at once. For a great Americana blend, also try his Log Cabin, a perfect blend for your cobs. I'm also awaiting the results on his experimental Balkan M61; I'm still enjoying my original jar of that, another elegant blend. While you wait for these matches, there are plenty of pleasing Russ creations in stock. His Chestnut match to the discontinued Walnut is a great tub tobacco with about six or seven different leaf.

Agreed, his offerings will keep a piper busy and happy for a long long time. I am currently enjoying White Knight and Anniversary Kake. Both great blends in my opinion.

Yes, Russ created a blend so similar, that it was even better than the original. So Esoterica bought the blends, and replaced the originals with them. ::

Russ is very much still at P&C. His days of creating new blends. May have drawn to a close but so much depends on the FDA,

I bet he still makes new blends. He may not be able to put them on the market, but I'm willing to bet he still makes new blends for himself and to share with friends and colleagues.

I'm still toiling away at least five days a week, but I'm concentrating on writing and working on pages for the website. I still work on new blends, and if there's a way that we can share them with you, we will. I still have a number of years to go before I can consider retirement.
