You could call 911 and say you are being held captive by a crazy with kitchen knives. That way the Police would come and you could get a ride back into town..........not much but it's all I got sorry.
Hey, at least it's something! I'll keep that in mind if things get real desperate.

Sounds like a self centered crazy person .

You can learn what people are like by how they treat others who have no power , or are vulnerable .

I'm pretty sure you know this , but unless she has an really good explanation , it's time to drop this relationship .

Oh, in my mind it's already over and done with. Until now I had never seen this side of her but, wow, that is the end of that. To be honest, there is no explanation she can come up with that would make this right.

Lol, if I thought that would work, i would! With the luck I've been having, she would probably say yes.
jp was being somewhat humorous , but you could actually be close to peril . It's a safe bet there is some serious crazy going on . If she calls the cops with an accusation of assault , you could be up excrement creek , at least temporarily . Don't ask me how I know this............

Thanks for the heads up. I've thought about a scenario like that. Something I definitely don't want. That's among the many reasons I need to be out of here sooner rather than later.

The good news is you aren’t married and she’s not pregnant (hopefully) and there are no children or property to divide.

There is such a thing called Uber.

I’ve never used Uber, but the theory is you call it and pay somebody to take you to the bus station.

But please leave, while you can.

Im getting some vibes of the movie "Misery". Hide any blocks of wood and sledgehammers you find.
Seriously though, I would have taken her car to the train station 1.5 months ago.
Honestly, calling the cops just to let them know might be a good idea.
Most rural places have very cheap, or even free public transportation which the cops could get for you.
You could even ask a neighbor. We country folk are usually pretty kind.
If you showed up at my house with this story, I would give you a lift...laughing the whole way. :)

Maybe it's the language barrier or the cultural differences, but I feel like there are several things I don't understand about this story. As a general rule, I avoid voluntarily getting into situations without having a planned exit. Maybe it's because I grew up in the third world, where personal safety is something you must create and nurture, not something guaranteed. I would never have given her enough money to the point where I couldn't return on my own. If I were you, I'd pack my things and get out of here, either walking or hitchhiking.

It sounds like you’re stranded alone with a lady that you’ve realized is unpredictable. I would get the heck outta there ASAP for your safety.

I know hitchhiking isn’t as culturally acceptable in the south as it is out west, but I think it’s to that point for you.

Just thank your lucky stars you aren’t married.

The thing is, she was never a girlfriend. Only a friend. Definitely no possibility of a pregnancy. And I don't live with her, I helped her move and now I'm stuck.
The problem with uber is 1) I don't do electronic money transfers and 2) I gave her the money I had for day to day expenses, so, that route isn't going to work for me.
Thank you for your concern. I absolutely plan to leave as soon as I can.

Oh no, the last thing I need is an Annie Wilkes! The main reason I didn't take her car is I am sure she would report it stolen, a chance I really don't want to take. I checked and there is no free transportation here, or paid either for that matter. Asking a neighbor is not a bad idea at all. There is one who I think just might do it. If something doesn't happen very soon, I just might do that.

I've known her for a long time, so I didn't think there would be an issue. I placed trust where it turns out I should not have.

ASAP is the key word here. Believe me, I am very thankful that there will be no connection after this.
