Sparks, you are spot on here. Why would someone have a problem? The theory is that if you want to have a completely virtual marketplace you should be able to support all facets of said marketplace. Customer care and relations are integral parts of a successful business.

Completely agree with most posts on here. Working in a grocery meat department, if a customer buys a pack of Maple Leaf Prime chicken breasts, and they turn out to be bad or poor quality....and they come back in for a refund...we dont shrug and tell them to call Maple Leaf.
Absolutely absurd. The retailer should be able to get credit from the manufacturer if there's no mark up on thier 'cost'.
Horrid and deplorable customer service.

I stopped dealing with P&C years ago due to their inventory control issues and poor web site. I'm convinced the blends Russ makes is the main reason people put up with them.

I think the point is, that any reputable retailer should be most interested in keeping the customer happy. If they shipped a defective pipe, no matter the material or value, the customer should be made whole. This could be accomplished through a refund or replacement. Unhappy customers slowly eat away the bottom line on the annual report.
