Didn't want to hijack the resealing an open tin thread - but saw mention of 4 oz mason jars there. And naturally 24 are to be delivered to me next Tuesday.
Do you guys run them through a dishwasher? Or sterilize them in boiling water? Or just use them?
How do I know they'll all be full in 24 days?

Stick your nose in a brand new jar, take a good deep whiff, and then make your decision.

I agree. That's because they are coated with an anti microbial. I've stored tobacco both ways, rinsing the jar first and not rinsing. I haven't noticed any difference in the tobacco. So to me it doesn't really make a difference. If I have a lot of bulk tobacco to store I do not rinse the jars. I do leave them open for a few minutes though to let the smell dissipate.

I just picked up 24 new quilted 4oz jars myself and threw the tobaccos right in. I haven't noticed a difference either way.

To me they have a distinct and unpleasant odor so I always first wash them out with hot soapy water.

The plan was to put full new tins in them and smoke them down as my large number of blends will allow. If I sense one is getting dry drop a aluminum moisture disc in (distilled water or cigar juice? - I have 25 waiting) Also have some humidification pillows on the side if needed. Sound like a plan? Double ziplocked Bill Bailey's Balkan blend started feeling dry after about 5 months, so I don't want to start losing good stuff!

If they are proper moisture when you jar them, they will stay that way. If they are too wet when you open a tin, leave it in the cracked tin until it's right, then jar it. I've never humidified a pipe tobacco ever, as it's always gone in jars from the tin.

I have humidified rolling tobacco by placing it in a Tupperware, covering with a moist paper towel and then lidding. Only takes a few hours.

I open them up and let them air out for a few minutes to dissapatw the faint rubber ring smell, then fill them up. I have not had a problem yet. I have washed some out in super hot water before and had similiar results to the unwashed jars.

I wash new jars and lids just because of the odor of the spray that they add, and to clean the outside, and I keep spare lids on-hand. Never want to get stuck with a jar of VAs that needs a lid and the only thing you have on hand is a stinky latakia lid.
Personally, using the 8oz ball/kerr regular-mouth or widemouth canning jars, I usually need one of those for a 1.5 to 2 oz tin of uncompressed tobacco, and it's usually nearly full, or totally full and needs some compressing. A 1.75oz tin of Blackhouse overflowed it even after some compression, so some stayed in the tin. Blackhouse has higher tobacco volume than most, but even some of my wetter tobaccos that weigh in at 1.75oz seem to nearly fill up those 8 oz'ers. 2oz tins of moderately moist shag-cut are the same thing. I want to get some 4oz jars so I can split a fresh tin up and keep the second jar unopened until the first one is done, thereby preserving the freshness of the second half of the tin. Just surprised to see people saying that they are getting full tins into a 4oz jar. Real wet flakes I could see maybe, but I don't know about a tin of Blackhouse or something similar, unless you really press it down a lot, which I don't like to do, so maybe that is the difference.
