This will be my second pipe show to attend and I’m VERY excited!!! Bringing a couple of friends along; one a new pipe smoker and the other never smoked a tobacco pipe before. Hotel booked, tickets to the show bought… can not wait for this experience!!

I'll be there Friday night, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning.

If anyone wants to say hi, I'm a CPCC member and I'll be manning the show floor entrance checking lanyards from 1-5pm. And then at the cpcc table in the smoking tent a lot of the rest of the time (it's usually the one closest to the entrance).

Normally, I'd say look for the tall grey haired dude with the beard, but given the demographic, that's going to describe roughly 40% of the attendees, sooo... If you see someone who meets that description but also has some of the weirdest glasses you've ever seen, that's probably me.

FREE Sunday Only Registration Now Available Online

This year, Sunday is free at the Chicago Pipe Show and online registration opened yesterday at our website. This includes access to all parts of the show, including the smoking tent. Registering in advance helps speed along your entry to the show because your preprinted, personalized pass will be waiting for you to pick up.

Unlike the regular show pass, there are no drink tickets included. However, sales at the show's bars are a key part of how the show meets its contractual agreement for food and drink purchases. So if you would like to support the show, you can do so by buying a beverage or by bidding on something at our silent auction.

It's best to arrive as early as you can on Sunday as many vendors do tend to pack up early on to catch flights or get a start on a long drive home. But if you stick around until close to the end, you can often find a great deal.

THE HOTEL IS NEARLY 100% BOOKED.

Nearly every room in the hotel is booked the weekend of the show. The hotel has graciously allowed us to expand our room block at this late date. Technically, the special show rate has expired, but the hotel has kindly extended it for a short period with only a small price increase. So, of you want to stay at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago, book your room immediately.

I know it is a long shot, but if they have a "pipe show/CPCC" tobacco tin for sale this year, I would gladly buy 2 tins and pay a "service" fee, if anyone were to pick me up a couple, feel free to PM me.

Thank you!

I believe that C&D is producing two or three commemorative blends. Or are you referring to the pocket tobacco jars?

We will have t-shirts available this year along with some very cool dual pipe/cigar lighters. The tees will be plentiful, but there will be only 50 lighters.

I don't even know what a pocket tobacco jar is, now I am really missing out!

I was just looking for a couple tins of tobacco that are only made only for the show, like a consolation souvenir, 1 to smoke and one to cellar ; )

it would be great if there was a Saturday only registration option for like twenty bucks. If there were I’d swing by on Saturday.

I don't know anything about your finances or tobacco buying habits, but if being able to buy direct and tax-free from the world's best and most well stocked stores, artisans, and private collections isn't worth 50 dollars to you, I don't think there's much else I could say to convince you to make the drive down from a state that just implemented a tobacco excise tax...

Good news! You get $24 in drink tickets, so it is really only $26 to get in.
Oh rly ! Well this information adds another facet to my decision making and might make it worth the drive down. Thanks! And thanks for not being snarky in your answer like the other guy lol. If I was prepared to put down several hundred dollars then 50bucks to get in would be worth it on that alone but due to other items I’ve had to buy this spring I don’t have the budget right now for PAD or TAD but am interested in attending.

No $20 one day ticket, but we do offer FREE Sunday Only admission without drink tickets . You can even pre-register at our website. The drink tickets are crucial to the show's financial health. We are nonprofit and volunteer run. The show is able to hold the event at this beautiful hotel by guaranteeing a certain number of room nights and a certain amount of food and beverage sales. Drink tickets and cash bar sales go a long way towards helping us meet that minimum. So, you can still help the show when you come on a free Sunday ticket by buying a beer or soft drink, or by bidding on something in the silent auction.
