Alright Gents, while we are being a tad sentimental here, I would like to say that I am currently working on a thread that will provide a "brief" overview of the 27 page epic. My goal in writing it is to put into words what woodsroad just touched on. The prior box pass thread reads like a voyage into the human condition. Good people working towards a virtous common goal despite the odds; kindness and brotherhood in the face of obstacles and loss. When those three or four (I'm still slightly confused at the exact number) boxes go missing you can actually feel the loss and disappointment from the group. In the virtual room there is this communal sigh and sense of crushed expectations. The reactions to the unfortunate circumstance are truly fascinating. Above all, what stands out to me is leadership. Individuals like woodsroad distinguished themselves as undaunted personalities as well as gentlemen. They enforced rules and sought order but also offered insight and perspective when someone "dropped the ball" and the masses demanded answers.
Now I am just paraphrasing from my “thread-to-be” so I will just say reading the old thread was humbling. The sense of history here is great virtue to this site. I am thankful for its members and always surprised at how much dedication goes into making this forum a great place to be.
