I've only smoked the black stem pipe so far. The horn stem is really neat. Good smoke and like the look of them.

Nice pipes. My eye has been drawn toward zulus and cuttys lately. How thick are the bowl walls on those two?

That's great.. I have been eyeing one of those Horn Ropp cutties.. How long of a smoke are they? I see they have small dimensions

They are terrible. You don't want one. Seriously. Don't. Just.... Let me take care of them. They're not good enough for you. I'll slum it with the Ropp Vintages, protect the rest of you. :)

hakchuma, I was really surprised to see your post tonight because I just got my Ropp cutty today from smokingpipes.com and just finished the first smoke. It's a very nice pipe to walk around the house with. Feather light. I've always admired the cutty shape but waited until the right one came along.
These are part of Ropp's "Vintage" series with rediscovered stummels and newly fitted horn stems, yes?

I like my Ropp, one of my more restricted airways but a good smoker. I think it favors fuller strength tobaccos.

Yep it's the vintage Ropp. Yours looks like a real beauty. I can see you waited for the exact one you wanted, you picked a real nice looking one. I like the foot on it. What is that part of the pipe called anyway?
To answer some questions, the thickness of the bowl at the very top is 5/32, the inside diameter of the bowl is 11/16 the outside diameter of the shank is around 7/16.
I was able to get a 26 minute smoke of Peterson Irish oak out of it a few minutes ago. Truly down to almost nothing but fine white ash :). But I normally dump it before I smoke the baccy down that much so for me I'd say a good 20 minute smoke.
Purchased from smokingpipes.com yep!
Yes I agree airway is a bit tight.
Very light and unique shape compared to my normal pipes. Like it.
