Pipe Dreamer and Star Gazer
That’s a pipe for Chuck Yeager to smoke when he’s squiring Gladys on the town!

Wow, is that Atomic Age styling!
This is a pre medico ventilator - the belief is that Medico bought the rights to this design. I have one arriving next week, apparently, I purchased one when putting it into my cart to use as a bookmark. @Parsimonious Pipe has three of these.

Pipe Dreamer and Star Gazer
  • US 2232092 A (applied 1940, awarded 1941) for an improvement to the prior design. This patent number later appeared on Pipes by Lee, and was assigned to Davenport, Ltd., suggesting a possible connection. However, no corroboration of this speculation has yet been found.
Regarding the above mentioned pipe.

Yes and yes, although Lee was co-founder as well as president of Barnaby. I have a rather bulky file on Singer but no time for the foreseeable future to organize and post it.

@Parsimonious Piper Do you have the Lord Davenport Puoe by Lee Patent Pending.
Yes, I have one with the 1938 Pat. Pending, two with dual patent 1938/1941, and seven with the 1941 patent. Four are Lees, the rest Lord Davenport.

Two of the Davenports have 2 7-pt stars and one has 2 5-pt stars, so there must have been collaboration of some kind, and spanning the first two Lee generations.
