Sounds like the blower inside the cab. Fixed my wifes A/C when that happened. Cold air at the vents, but none coming out. The fan had got gummed up with soot to the point it stopped spinning freely. You could give the blade a spin with your hand and it would get turning on its own. Her fan is behind the Glove box, I'm no mechanic so I cant say if thats where you'll find what you're looking for. But I just pulled out the glove box and pulled the fan and motor out. Cleaned all the gunk up, added oil to flush out the soot, wiped it down good so there wasnt too much oil left. Its been running like a champ since last summer !

What kind of truck? Chrysler products have cheap control switches on the panel controls; my Dakota's seems to crap out every 40k kms or so. Its an EQsy fix too, just have to pop out the control area and replace the pot.

Ouch! I drive a Silverado as well. Hope that's not something I get to look forward to :(
I owned a Ford Explorer a few years ago that did something similar.

My brother has a Dodge ram, ithink same year as mine. He's had a similar problem since he bought it..everytime he took it to the dealership it worked fine so to them nothing to fix. Now it's out of warranty and still problems. Mine started a month or so back, the "5" speed for the fan wouldn't work, now it doesn't work at all..so I'm thinking maybe it is the switch. If you loose a speed on yours msandoval858 you might get ready.

don't jinx me guys... I do the Dallas-Austin route all the time.. Ford F-150, praying my fan doesn't go out. But then again, it only goes to "4" so perhaps I'll be spared ;-)
Yep, it's getting hot way too early in the year down here. I see the crickets everywhere and usually that's not until August :?

Chris, that's about what a friend had to pay to get his Cadillac AC fixed. Fan motor and two relay/switch doo-hickies. Hope you can fix it yourself.

I know how you feel. 'm in a kitchen from 9am till around 3pm. It's always hotter in the kitchen then it is outside. And there isn't ac in the kitchen. So if its 80 outside then its 90-100 in the kitchen
