Christmas Time In Hell? I recall there was a South Park episode about that, not to everyone's taste perhaps (well, certainly not), but it had me laughing my socks off at the time. As for a letter from Screwtape to Wormwood about the forthcoming festal jollities for the eternally damned in the Pit of Perdition and his recommendations as to what to tempt his human into doing for Christmas in order to secure an afterlife one-way ticket there, I think I might be good for a pastiche on the Humo(u)r pages between now and the 25th. If I can channel the great C.S., of course...
I have sent out my package, it has been received, opened and acknowledged on the forum with the appropriate photograph posted. To all intents and purpose I have completed my Christmas Mission. As far as I know I have not received anything in the shape of bottle openers, tobacco, coupons offering 10% off for jumbo size ribbed prophylactics with tickler heads at my P.O Box in NYC. Since I have that wonderful 'Predictable Mail' APP from USPS I can sit out the winter in Florida but still see all the sh*t people mail me in NYC.

Sadly, I did not receive a bottle opener…normally the mail is reliable so I am a bit concerned.

That is brilliant! Believe it or not, my wife is reading Screwtape Letters for the first time right now. It’s been 10 years or more since I’ve read it. This makes me want to revisit it when she’s finished.

It's a delicate balance between "visual mischief" and getting banned.
Negatory here. Bupkis. And, discounting something shipped from Oregon on December 6 which is unlikely to be from you, USPS doesn't show any packages on their way to me.
There are lots of confiscated bottles being opened with confiscated bottle openers at the USPS, I guess.
I guess they've escalated: stealing only gift cards at Christmas time was no longer enough.
@mikethompson, I'm happy to say that USPS has the Som Besths package for my match in their grubby hands. Now if only I can trust them to get it to the recipient without opening and smoking the good stuff...
