Thanks for the info, I was a little concerned about the idea of smoking out of what seemed to be plastic.Pyrolytic graphite, also used for plumbing in nuclear plants and subs, if I recall correctly. Pack less tight than briar and smoke slow. Doesn't ghost or burn out. I have several but they require a modified smoking style.
Actually, asbestos would be very nearly the perfect pipe material because it is much less thermally conductive than pure carbon.Graphite... interesting. Beats an asbestos pipe, I suppose.
Perhaps, but I think I'd still pass on owning or smoking one.Actually, asbestos would be very nearly the perfect pipe material because it is much less thermally conductive than pure carbon.
It's only the pipemakers who would die of lung cancer, asbestos is only dangerous in powder form.
Put another way, you're already surrounded by things just as dangerous as asbestos, the risks are practically identical to Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber, if you ever put sandpaper to composite materials you're as good as swimming in asbestos.Perhaps, but I think I'd still pass on owning or smoking one.
