    A Progress Report

I’m sorry to hear that, and I hope things get better. I hope that PT leads to relief and prevention in the future, and surgery isn’t necessary. About 10 years ago (I’m 50 now) I started having some issues (that were not nearly as bad as what you’re describing) with tweaking my lower back...

Malty Virginia Recommendations and Chenet’s Cake Opinions

My first recommendation was going to be Marlin Flake. I also get something similar from these: F&T Special Dark Flake Astley’s No. 44 C&D Bijou KBV Brown Flek SG Best Brown No. 2

***What Are You Smoking, Nov. 2024?***

A Savinelli Canadian for my first bowl of Watch City Spiked Spumoni. So far, so good. It’s not goopy, and as aromatics go the toppings are judiciously applied. The Perique gives it a nice punch.

    Seen This Week, Pretty Awesome

Many years ago, I drove up on one that was pecking at a dead deer on the side of the road that was flanked by thick forest on either side. I was about 20 feet away, and I got to watch it for a few minutes. It eventually got annoyed and took off, going in the opposite direction from where my...

STG closes Mac Baren and Sutliff

It’s only 2lbs, and I don’t even really need it, but what the hell

STG closes Mac Baren and Sutliff

Preach. The reason this won’t really affect me that much is because the McClelland experience prompted me to stock up on the blends I liked. Get it while you can

Oh come on now! Like Navy Flake isn’t just flat-out tasty. You sound like a hipster bragging that he doesn’t own a TV 😉

Country Squire's Tombigbee vs. Russ Oullette's Snickerdoodle

I dont I don’t have a preference, but Snickerdoodle tastes a lot more like a snickerdoodle cookie.

How Much of Your Favorite Blend is Cellared?

I’m in the same boat. I think I have very close to lifetime supplies of my favorites, given that I spread out the blends so much.

Peretti Thanksgiving Day in a Rossi Lovat. This is my first bowl of this blend. Pretty good, but just a tiny bit soapy.

STG closes Mac Baren and Sutliff

Hopefully. It sounds like at least some of the lines will be discontinued. Moving production to a new facility means different equipment, tobacco sourcing, techniques, QC, etc. etc. While by no means a certainty, there’s a solid possibility the blends will noticeably change. I hope not...

Country Squire's Tombigbee vs. Russ Oullette's Snickerdoodle

I’ve had both, and I don’t think they are that similar. Snickerdoodle has a much more overt flavoring on it. Old Toby, to my palate, just has a lot of added sugar
