STG closes Mac Baren and Sutliff

Sounds like everyone will have at least several months to stock up. That being said, I’m happy to be Mac Baren stocked up already

    Watch City Rouxgaroux Hard Find?

Distasteful certainly, and now finally illegal in my home state. Kinda sad for the first jurisdiction in the English-speaking world to ban the death penalty, an issue which has compelling arguments on both sides. Pretty sure this activity is universally frowned upon. necro-bumping outlawed

    Your Own "Best" Tobacco

I would answer “best” as my favorite blend: McClelland Navy Cavendish. However, NC is so one-dimensional that I don’t think I’d want it as my desert island blend. I’ll go with my own data set and choose one of the first blends I ever smoked and one that I’ve never gotten bored of: Mac...

    Tongue Bite on First/Char Light

I do something similar, and it can take me 2 or 3 charring lights/tamp downs. The last light should be easy to do without excessive puffing that just heats up the whole bowl. It’s not a race

Best Brown #2 - How is The Vitamin N?

I’m not a fan of really high N blends, and I’m sensitive to it enough that blends like Windjmmer or Erinmore can get me a bit woozy if I smoke them on an empty stomach. The N in BB#2 barely registers for me.

    Cellar Spreadsheet

I have a cellar spreadsheet that I maintain carefully. Listed are all of my sealed tins and any bulk jars that I haven’t opened. I have an entirely separate set of jars of open tins and bulk that I don’t keep track of at all except that they are organized by genre in different drawers of an...

Acrylic Stems vs Vulcanite Stems: A Comparison

All good answers above. It just comes down to your personal preference. I’m all acrylic: - I know from experience that I will destroy a vulcanite stem - Acrylic doesn’t bother my teeth, and I never found it to be less comfortable than vulcanite - I can wash acrylic stems in warm soapy water on...

    Anyone Tried Peretti B-94?

I love rum blends generally, but I didn’t love this. To me it tasted very soapy. I really like BPC, which I assume is the base for B-94, so maybe there is something else besides rum in the topping. It’s a been a couple of years since I’ve tried it, so maybe I should give it another go
