Sometimes I’ll fold up a sliver of Mac Baren Vanilla Cream Flake with Mac Baren HH Burley Flake. That little bit of vanilla really highlights the dry cocoa flavor in the burley.
Hahahahaha! I’m smoking a Derry 408 right now and was just thinking how I should say it has “butter knife rustication.” It smokes great, but pretty damned ugly….in a good way.
I popped in when I visited Boston back in January. Just a very cool place, and the staff was great. I was trying to spare my wife too much boredom, so I didn’t linger quite as long as I might have otherwise.

Mac Baren Virginia Flake with a few years of age is a great blend. To my palate, it is much different then HH Pure Virginia. VF is lighter, and little spicier, and has some sort of very light casing or topping. Maybe honey, maybe citrus, maybe both.
