    Request for an Oriental

That's what I did . I'm getting into home blending and oriental blends are amoung my favorites along with balkan blends. I have Izmir, Smyrna, Prelip and Blended Turkish Ribbon. These are readily available from several sites. Leaf Only has Krumovgrad, Samsun and Basma.

    Apple Jammer: A Pseudo-Review

How did it taste? Could you taste the cider, did it sweeten the blend, did it smooth out the blend?

    Home clone: Dunhill The Aperitif

You might want to try C&D Cordial-A smooth blend of Virginia, Turkish, Latakia and black Cavendish Notes: Reminiscent of old Dunhill Aperitif Sutliff Match 20- traditional "Scottish" blend. Have smoked both Cordial is a little sweeter than the Match, but to me both are very good/excellent...

    "Scottish" Bag End

You should try Cordial from C&D and Sutliff's Match 20 (Dunhill965). If you want something light on the lat, try C&D Star of the East Gold. I've never had Bag End, so I can't say how these compare.

Black Swan-This appealing blend is unique in both appearance and flavor. Glossy all Black Cavendish is formulated to smoke mild and smooth from fire-curing and steam sweating. Don’t Care For Latakia, But I Did Like FM OTT - What To Try?

You might want to try Star of the East Gold and/or Match BSOSM. They're not like the frog but, they have a good oriental presence and easy on the Lat.

    Ted Tobacco

Well, my transaction with Ted Tobacco has been completed. I ordered on 5/25, emailed them on 6/1 and again on 6/7 no response either time. I was sent an email on 6/16 stating that the Cigar Leaf was delayed "beyond their control" and would I accept a substitution or wait until the tobacco in...

Try C&D Star of The East Gold, the lat and orientals have been flipped, so it's oriental forward and light on the lat.

    Ted Tobacco

Does anyone have any experience with Ted Tobacco? I placed an order with them a week ago and my order is still "processing". Are they that busy of a business or just slow about getting things done? I ordered some Prelip and cigar leaf from Sutliff for blending.

    English / Latakia C&D Blends

Stratfordshire and Cordial are excellent. Star of the East Gold is more oriental forward with the lat more in the background. Red Odessa is also very good. Some that I haven't tried are Mountain Camp and Bayou Night, the contain perique and may meet your strength requirements.

    Revisiting An Old Favorite

I had a similar experience, but with a blend that never really wowed me. Last week I had a bowl of Balkan Sasieni. Balkans are my mainstay of what I smoke. the BS was purchased in Jan. 2013, and I have sampled over the years and it never really did anything for me. Until last week. The Lat had...

    My Latest Tobacco Order

I recently got some of this: Sutliff's 245 ZBC is a blend of Dark-Fired Kentucky tobacco that's been steamed to produce a delightful Cavendish. Topped with flavors of caramel, cream, and vanilla, 245 ZBC is mellow smoke with a delicious aroma. I was intrigued by the fact that it's made with...
