We are able to purchase some of the Esoterica from our local B & M ,The Briary. Their Virginias are very good along with the VaBer Tilbury. Recently popped a tin of 2017 Penzance that I jarred and it is very good but there are several Latakia blends that are better or measure up to this.
Smoking a bit of Nording Foxhound from 2017. Found it in the back of the stash in a jar
just waiting to be puffed on. Very, very good after a few years.
To all of you woodworkers on the forum. In an attempt to drill out the hole into the tobacco chamber I drilled into the moisture chamber through into the bottom of the pipe. Must have been the whisky ! I have put an ill fitting wooden plug in to the hole that I drilled but it is not the optimum...
And if you do ,how much and what is your take as it ages ? I'm liking the last of the brand that I have. Jarred it in June of 2018 and rationing it. Some sugar on the top always gets me going.
And have added HH Old Dark Fired to this, as well. Also have gone by to see Skip at the Briary a few times since they have "closed". It is still a pleasant experience to go in. New hours are on his website.
To get a nice Burley smoke I have been mixing PS41 with Pressed Burley John Cottons .About 80% PS41. Who else does similar mixing and what are your mixes ?
