  5. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

I just alluded to that other misreading above, if that's the one I think you mean. :)
  6. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Thank you! I get your drift, and if you google my word, that other one's most likely to crop up. In French the word pipe has the additional slang meaning of fellatio, lending a whole new connotation to Magritte's "Ceci n'est pas une pipe," love it or not! :)
  7. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Thanks for the recommendations! My son lives in Boston and will be visiting me in France at the end of the week; I'll see if I can get him to make a Peretti pitstop before his departure! And thanks for Rumspringa. I teach German online and see the word "herumspringen" (to jump around) in there...
  8. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Yes, those are the standouts for me, too! Can't get enough.
  9. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

    Merci, enchanté !
  10. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Tashkent's a revelation. I can only describe it as having given me my first entry into a tobacco that feels actually three dimensional, experiencing as I do its myriad flavors all at once, but in detail, the full complex spectrum as, well, let's go ahead and call it "E pluribus unum," if that...
  11. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Attitude o' gratitude! They're really lovely, and I'm very fortunate to have them.
  12. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Thank you kindly, and yes, he certainly does! His direct descendants here include Bruno Nuttens, Tristan Lefebvre, and François Dal. Gives ya hope!
  13. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Thanks! Also, love your profile pic of Bill F., to my mind our greatest novelist. Absalom, Absalom! appeals to my sense of humanity most.
  14. Mr Mitsouko

And to you from the Haute-Garonne !
  15. Mr Mitsouko

Thanks so much! Tools of ritual.
  16. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Ah, yes! That was the one that spawned the 5 others. Pierre calls billiards "Neogenes", a term I also see being used in the 1932 Chapuis Camoy catalog, here: 1922 1932 Chapuis Comoy Catalog : https://historypipe.blogspot.com : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive -...
  17. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Thanks for the appreciation! I brooded long and hard putting it together. Pierre's a national treasure.
  18. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

    I envy your tobacco geography!
  19. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

One of my former stomping grounds!
  20. Mr Mitsouko

    Greetings, Pipophiles!

Having spent many, many hours in recent years perusing and digesting the contents of these redoubtable pages, I've chosen to post a photo of my small, but what I think of now as a complete collection of six pipes, acquired at the rate of one per year. I've been living in France for the past...
