    Displaying Your Tins

Even the ChapStick is pipe-related! It's SPF ChapStick to protect the stems on The Pipe Pipe: Login • Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/p/CYwpTebOU8-/

    Displaying Your Tins

You know how tins usually end up in a stack or balanced on an uneven edge? I had this space on the back wall of the closet where I keep my pipe and tobacco accessories, and thought it would be a good place to keep my active tins. I got this $5 magnetic tool bar from Harbor Freight, ran a little...

    The Pipe Pipe

The secret is to smoke 'em all in rotation so nobody gets too dusty!

    The Pipe Pipe

That's an interesting idea! It might be tricky to get the sleeves to stay on the clip ends with all the sliding around that happens on the stummel side. It's pretty easy to slide them in and out with the zips. You turn the pipe so the bowl faces you and slide it out. And back in the same way...

    The Pipe Pipe

Update nearly one year later: Some of the rubber fishing pole clips were starting to fatigue and lose their grip on both the curtain rod and the pipe shanks. The warmer summer weather made the rubber contract, and when the cooler fall weather caused them to expand, they'd lost some of their...

    Who made this pipe?

Thank you, @Ahi Ka . I think you solved it right away. That circular "MADE IN ENGLAND" stamp is very similar to a Comoy's Everyman I have back at home. It would also explain why it's so well-made for a pipe stamped with a whiskey brand. A look at another Comoy's shape 122 confirms it...

    Who made this pipe?

I just purchased a pipe with “SCHENLEY” stamped onto one side of the shank, “MADE IN ENGLAND” in a circle and “122” stamped onto the other side, and a tiny white “S” on the stem. My first thought was it could be a Stanwell unusually made in England instead of Denmark, since they had a “Henley”...

    The Pipe Pipe

Love it! Do you have a preferred brand? Maybe one that's flavorless and has a consistency that rubs on and off easily?

    The Pipe Pipe

Here's a tip! If you keep a thin layer of obsidian oil on your stems, you can keep them out in the open and protect them. Just don't keep them in direct sunlight, or you'll risk bleaching them.

    The Pipe Pipe

Thank you! When you catch the glue at just the right temperature, you can take the long part of a screwdriver and lay it against the warm glue so it holds the shape and not only protects, but also cradles the pipe in place. That's something I learned after the initial installation, when I was...

    The Pipe Pipe

Thank you! I agree that it wouldn't make sense in a hallway. This is the wall next to my desk in the living room.

    The Pipe Pipe

Eagle eye! It's a white Fender Strat, Wayne's World 2 edition, that I bought in 1994! On the other side of the window is a tobacco sunburst Strat Deluxe I bought in 2008 -- and a framed poster from every album release show my band played, where that guitar was my main axe on each record. Our...

Had to leave a space for it! One less pipe to display, but it was either that or have heat :)

    The Pipe Pipe

Thank you! I bought another set of three rods and another bag of the clips for when the array outgrows this fixture. The nice thing about the clips is they aren't permanent, and you can slide them around and space them out so the display always looks full. You nailed it on the three-dimensional...

    The Pipe Pipe

The lady of the house suggested the spot and even helped me measure the spacing! Involving her early on was the way to go. While she doesn't smoke, her favorite color is black, and she really likes this dark Barling BB&S Londoner 403T from the 1960s!

    The Pipe Pipe

Like many pipers, I kept most of my pipes in a drawer. I could never find a pipe rack with the right amount of spaces, or find multiple pipe racks that matched. I'll admit I'm a little OCD and most people probably don't have this problem. One of the things I love most about pipes is how they're...

    Restoration of a Comoy's Sunrise Grain 441

I use the powdered version! Grab a tub you don't care about, fill it with hot water, scoop in the oxi, toss in the stem and let it soak overnight. The oxidation will rise to the surface where you can scrub it away.
