Gawith and Hoggarth #7 Broken Flake Discontinued?

No not discontinued, just now put out under its other name - Mahogany. Mahogany and Broken No 7 are the same thing - just it was called one thing for tins and one thing for bulk. Now it's the same.

I was quoting the other guy.

    New Samuel Gawith tins

As I said if tools are required....... "Tins were hard to open. The navy flake needed to be opened like a can of beer with a bottle opener. The chocolate took time and just twisting with the edge of the bottle opener." Round tin lids screw on and are more uniform so different physics. "The...

    New Samuel Gawith tins

You cannot have it both ways I am afraid. Very tight vacuum so need 'tool' to prize lid off and then lid is ruined and does not go back on properly. Or less vacuum, decent seal from rubber sealing and can take lid off without use of tool, stays in shape, easily clicks back on for re-sealing.

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

    Gawith dropped the date codes?

We are just about to begin export of GH Snuff to the States. I cannot say where this will be sold as we do not have that information. I understand that online sales of snuff are not allowed and therefore it will only be in B&M stores.

    Gawith dropped the date codes?

No, we have no requirement for further coding on the tins, we are already pressed for room on tins due to other requirements - security features, tax stamps, side warning labels. We have never put a date code on tins and won't be starting. Tins had no codes on them before around 2016 I think it...

    Gawith dropped the date codes?

So first we never actually had a date code. There was just an internal coding system that someone came up with a 'formula' for but that we actually used for internal order tracking. Now that Track and trace is a legal requirement, we no longer need the internal coding system as every single...

    Shag Tobacco

Kind of depends what your definition of a shag cut is. We have the Kendal range of shag tobacco - Kendal Gold, Kendal Mixed and Dark and various variations and flavours of these. But for the USA we do a finer cut termed Classic cut over in the States but is more akin to our UK RYO cut. It would...

    New Samuel Gawith tins

Who says you are paying a premium for a tin? And GH does not agree.

    New Samuel Gawith tins

If and how you decide to store tobacco for long term storage is up to you. We do not produce nor package for long term storage.
  13. gawithhoggarth

    New Samuel Gawith tins

No they did not. Every tin is vacuumed sealed. GH stated that we had to quickly find a new supplier when the old supplier sold out to a new company and stopped making the gold tins. These tins did not seal as well as we had been assured they would due to the design. We then spent a lot of time...

    Hot pressed tobacco

    The Voice of Gawith Hoggarth

LOL where do you get your info! Most of our leaf comes from Brazil, India, Malawi to name a few places. Yes we bought a small amount of Polish (EU) leaf to put in certain blends as this means it is not subject to massive EU tariffs as long as the blend contains a small % of EU leaf. But this is...

***What Are You Smoking, July 2025?***

LOL and there was me thinking it was when there was the merger, or when Bob left or when we apparently changed all the recipes........ 'soulless'........no idea what that even means! But hey if that's the worst that has happened............
