I wonder how a heat press gets made. Surely it’s custom work. There can’t be too much demand for machinery like this, can there?

Also the hilarious choice of dirty film effects and OutKast playing over this

If the door sticks everytime I’d really like to them add a jack bolt, or at the very least buy a small pry bar.
That whole drive a screwdriver in to pry the door makes it look like it’s their first day at work.
I thought so too at first but..
Sometimes in a shop, over time, we find things that just work.
More often than not, what works is that long ass slotted screwdriver that gets used for nothing else.

Yes, hammering a screwdriver look very unGerman. I bet any Swiss looking at it would think "Tsk tsk tsk, how low have you fallen?".

On topic, yes they actually look modern.

I mean it's not rocket science, it's a container that can take and apply pressure and heat, plus steam without blowing up, I am sure the first designs showed up around the 1700s. Of course it's such an esoteric piece of machinery that yeah, it'd need to be custom designed and made, which would be pretty expensive to do. Maybe C&D can start a GoFundMe so they get a few and become capable of producing real flakes and plugs?

Funny thing, apparently when Chris Gawith took over Gawith & Hoggarth he saw how plugs were removed, ran to the closest supermarket, came back with some greaseproof paper and sped up the process of taking plugs out the oven by an hour or so ;)

Honestly. I'd be embarrassed to film that part of the "process".
