    Unused Dunhill??

It turned purple... Does that mean in pregnant? I guess it was in smoked! Thanks for all the advice. I'm going to get a magic eraser or two and see how the stem looks.

    Unused Dunhill??

I guess that answers my question...:)

I'll give this ago and report back...

    Unused Dunhill??

Has anyone used a dremel polishing wheel/bit on a vulcanite pipe stem? I've used them on cellulose (slow and careful, it can catch fire) and plastic straight razor scales, but not sure about vulcanite. Thanks.

    Unused Dunhill??

Thanks, Jay. I did contact him, and am withholding feedback until he responds. Hopefully he is cool, but life's too short if he's not, and I'll move on...more baccy does sound good though.

    Unused Dunhill??

No that's a compliment I've never gotten before. Thanks! As to stem polishing, I've been doing a lot of research, and I've see bar keeper's friend and Flitz mentioned a lot. I assume that it's too far gone for just obsidian oil. What are people's take on that? Thanks!

    Unused Dunhill??

Here's the pipe, sorry for the glare, I stink at photography... (edit: fixed your photo, you have to use the IMG function to insert the URL)

    Unused Dunhill??

I got this pipe for a pretty good price, even for an estate, so I am not that concerned, I just don't like dishonesty. I think it's from 2014, as it has the "white spot" branding and says "14" after England (is that right?). @mothernature - I am not sure if sellers treat an extremely lightly...

    Unused Dunhill??

It is beautiful, I agree. I also don't mind if it has been smoked before, as it is in great shape, but I don't like the fact that it was advertised as new in a box, when it wasn't. I am hoping the seller will refund me a little bit, I keep the pipe, and we are all happy (I hope he's not reading...

    Unused Dunhill??

I just wanted to add that, if this post is in the wrong place, I apologize. I have never bought a pipe that is less than brand spanking from a store, so I figured this was a noobie question. Mods, feel free to move if this isn't the right place. Thanks!

    Unused Dunhill??

Hello Everyone. So, I got this Dunhill Prince from eBay at a decent price. It was listed as NIB, but didn't come in a box and I am not convinced it's new. It looks reamed to me, and I found the draft hole plugged with wood shavings. I attach a link to some pictures for your perusal, including...

How Many Bowls with One Briar Pipe?

Great. Thanks! Got some kind of nice new pipes and didn't want to "ruin" them somehow...

New Briar Pipe - No taste?

I just wanted to jump in and say that I have been in the same boat. I had one briar for the few couple of weeks of pipe smoking, and, as I am a sucker for flame grain, birdseye and all things wood grain, I got two more. I find that the one from the beginning let's me taste the tobacco more and...

How Many Bowls with One Briar Pipe?

Hello everyone. Smoking my morning pipe, I was wondering how many times people generally smoke one briar pipe in a day. I have been smoking one pipe about three times a day since I started. This just seems like it makes sense from a convenience POV, choose a pipe for the day and go. Then I let...

    Will My Taste Buds adjust?

Thanks. It was a Radice, so the problem was mine. Turns out that the sixpence I smoked in it needed another overnight wiring and was too wet. Went back to it a couple of days later, and all was well. Appreciate the input! Steve

    Still experiencing that weird feeling

I believe it was you (and others) more than once! Finally sunk into my thick head... Thanks!

    Still experiencing that weird feeling

While I am very much a noob, I solved this problem by drying the tobacco way down to the point it was almost crispy, but still flexible. This technique was given to me by members of this forum. It has worked wonders. I smoke three bowls a day and no leathery tongue or bite (unless I screw up and...

    Will My Taste Buds adjust?

Kind of off topic, but I am gathering that some new briars produce moisture when first smoked? Just curious, as I started up a new one, and the second bowl had a lot of moisture in the bottom, even though I dried the baccy way down. I've read this elsewhere, but you guys really seem to know your...
