I may Need a Hand with This One

Hmm well Blatter (and Rettalb) always had a red dot from what I know. They did have the two dots but those were red and white so that makes me doubt that it's a Blatter stem. Wish I could help more than that! Sure is a good looking pipe though. ...I could swear that I've seen that style of dot...

What Are You Smoking? June 2012

Esoterica's Blackpool in a Danish sort of bent dublin (as I've seen it referred) meer with a glass of absinthe on the side. That ought to set off the anise in it. :puffy:

Sorry if I pissed anyone off.

Well I didn't mind the wait for the box and you have my sympathies. That's one heck of a plate you've got there.

Well after having a good week with it it has been sent off.

A super sweet pipe to put on the rack.

Well I got it for $80. For the prices that I've seen Larsen's go for and be up for I think it was a pretty fair price.

    Too Much Fun!!!

Haha now that's a fantastic thing to do! If only I could have been there.

A super sweet pipe to put on the rack.

Ain't it just though? Hah I'm very glad to have my curiosity on the smoking quality of Larsen pipes satisfied. Hmm...but I may need a larger sample size..

A super sweet pipe to put on the rack.

After looking at this one in the case at my local B&M I just couldn't leave it there any longer. A W.Ø. Larsen handmade no. 18 with what I'm fairly confident (and doesn't really concern me) is a replacement stem. Great grain and a great smoke. B-e-a-utiful. Love it. Front And side. Just...

Should I Send My Grandpa A Block of Briar To Carve (pic heavy)

It'd definitely be more difficult to carve than the usual stuff but it would mostly mean that he'd have to sharpen his tools more often. I can't imagine that a guy with the level of skill and experience shown in the pics (which is downright staggering to me) would have much trouble with it. I...

A little bit of Balkan Sasieni in a 4 dot Brigham apple.

    What You Think

A good plan as far as I'm concerned. I've thought for a long time that the Canadian and American governments (all really) are crazy to keep the stuff illegal when they could be taxing it and making a fortune. Not that I support crazy taxing but so long as it's reasonable (unlike Canadian...

    Great Photos

Be sure and click the image to be taken to the page where you can see it in high resolution. To quote the page... "Florida circa 1904. "Jacksonville and St. Johns River." Plus the headquarters of the Florida Times-Union newspaper and much transportation-related signage." Shorpy is fantastic...

The Canadian Edition Box Pass - Round 1

I was downright astounded by the size of the thing! Quite the variety as well and some blends that I've been curious about for a good while now. I'm looking forward to sending it your way Barkar and to hear what you think of some of these.

The Canadian Edition Box Pass - Round 1

Just got the box and opened it up. Looking forward to going through it all, trying some new stuff out, and sending it along to the next lucky recipient. :puffy:

    Peterson's Rustic vs Sandblast

That Peterson sandblast is a pretty typical sandblast colouring style as far as I've seen. Not to say that natural isn't but there's usually some stain involved. I personally prefer the look of their sandblast above their rustication. Actually I can't stand their style of rustication but...

    Canadians

Well since I'm Canadian I'll contribute. This one is a Blatter (all of them are, no lone pic sorry) so it's a Canadian's Canadian Canadian.

    TO HOT!

I can definitely sympathize Barkar. Hah the summers here in Ontario make me miss The North and its climate.
