    Stonehaven: Plume Or Mold?

    I have some 9 year old Stonehaven that looks just like that. I am going to brake open one of the jars over the holidays and give it a close examination. I look at it under a magnifying glass. Here is some Esoterica with mold. No plume there, just fuzzy mold.

    I liked it but preferred Aston's Artisan's Blend much more. It doesn't have as much Latakia as Artisan's and no Perique. I put a couple of tins in the cellar but stocked up pretty good on Artisan's. If you like Latakia give Artisan's a try.

    1980 - I was in high school. I bought a pipe and I think it was Captain Black Cherry as a kit from a drug store when I was in getting some Swisher Sweets. Pure impulse buy. Smoked maybe three bowls and burned the crap out of my tongue. Didn't pick up another pipe until about 2 years ago.

    It's Virginia Bright Leaf plants. They are about 3-1/2' to 4' tall. I started them at the end of May. The bottom leaves are turning yellow.
