***What Are You Smoking, February 2025?***

Does that count for a hat trick? 😁

***What Are You Smoking, February 2025?***

First try of Five O'Clock Shadow in the Blatter Canadian. A really nice tobacco.

Tobaccoreview Not Accessible From Outside the US?

Tried it - didn't get anything unfortunately.

Tobaccoreview Not Accessible From Outside the US?

Thanks for the reply. Guess we're going to have to be relying on reviews elsewhere. Does @JimInks post his reviews on here as well?

***What Are You Smoking, February 2025?***

Walk out in the snow on a warmer lunchtime. Picked up a pouch of the first pipe tobacco I ever smoked - Blatter's Reserve house blend. Smoked it in a Blatter Canadian.

Canadian Import Advice Help - Tax was 200%!

Oh - I'm good for the Cubans - I have a good five to ten years of stock to go at my speed. And I've moved on anyway - Nicaragua is the way to go so far, (and I have at least 10 years of Italian cigars).

Canadian Import Advice Help - Tax was 200%!

Yeah - I knew I was on the database - but I only get charged duty by mail about 1/2 of the time - actually only once in my last three orders.

Canadian Import Advice Help - Tax was 200%!

My question is a couple declared tins crossing the border, declared: are they going to go through the hassle of bringing you in to pay the duty or is it such a small amount that they'll just let it through?

    Show us your Brebbia’s!

Thanks - yeah - it just doesn't fit flush anymore. And when I'm done smoking it, it seems the tenon gets a bit "flexible" when the pipe cools and I take it apart to clean.

    Show us your Brebbia’s!

I have one Brebbia that I really like - smokes great. A little bit of history with it though. After one smoke, the vulcanite went all green. After a bit of research, I found that micromesh pads seemed to be the best option to clean it and worked great. Just went a bit too hard where the stem...

Canadian Import Advice Help - Tax was 200%!

So true - still smoke cigars and I have a decent selection of Cubans that I can no longer afford, so for sure pipe tobacco prices are nothing compared. I could drop $35 here for just one cigar!

Canadian Import Advice Help - Tax was 200%!

Ah - ok - didn't know about that.

Canadian Import Advice Help - Tax was 200%!

Yeah - you pay and then file. I filed for one where they charged me Ontario tax which is more than Quebec. Took awhile, but got my money back - to the cent. It's worth calling them on it and I will EVERY time. I always do the calculation before I buy so I know what I'm looking at ahead of...

Bringing Tobacco Back to Canada Over Land Border

Yeah - and let's just say their memory is VERY long! Burn them once, you burn yourself forever. I've crossed many times with over limit alcohol and declare it every time. If you don't go overboard, they usually let you go.

    Show Us Your Blatter Pipes

Beautiful! Beyond buying beautiful pipes that smoke amazingly from the first bowl, I really want to encourage them. The last few times I've been in the store, it's been looking a bit bleak. It would be horrible to see them go out of business.

Bringing Tobacco Back to Canada Over Land Border

Growing up just a couple minutes from the border, I'm well aware that hiding things is a bad thing to do. They can dismantle your car, and they don't put it back together again!

That's a whole new level of fold and stuff! 😁
