Bringing Tobacco Back to Canada Over Land Border

Yeah, I know about the 48 hours. This time I'm going to be passing through. For two or three tins they might just let me through versus doing all the paperwork for it, (I know my father often brings me microbrewery beer from Upstate NY and declared, he never pays duty on that little. But this...

Bringing Tobacco Back to Canada Over Land Border

Just curious: going to be maybe going into the US in February and might possibly bring a few tins back to Canada with me. I'm wondering - is the provincial tax calculated on the land border you use - ie. Ontario or Quebec, or is it based upon your province of residence? (That is IF I pay duty...

    Just in from STG/MacBaren/Sutliff

For sure I'm going to be encouraging G.L. Pease & Cornell & Dielhl. Sad that I just discovered Newminster Luxury Navy, but at least I got to try it.

Yeah - that one surprised me - I thought it would be the one not to be cut. And no Dark Twist?!

    Just in from STG/MacBaren/Sutliff

I liked Plumcake as well. Matches 860 said Black Frigate made him think of it. Not sure how close it is - haven't got around to trying it yet.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2025?***

I've been keeping these samples to smoke on the perfect occasion. I'm realizing though that if I wait too long, I might never find "the perfect occasion" and should enjoy them in the moment. No disrespect intended - and if it's the case, I apologize. A wonderful gift of Esoterica Dorchester...

Pipes Shops/B&M's in Montreal Canada. Anyone Got Any Suggestions.

There is also the Whisky Café that has a cigar lounge. I'm not sure if they allow pipes - you'd have to check. I know for cigars they have a cutting fee. Stogies used to be the meetup place for the Montreal Pipe Smoking group.

***What Are You Smoking, December 2024?***

First try of Pirate Kate in the Peterson Derry 68. Wow - was expecting something along the lines of Ten Russians which tires my tongue relatively quickly, but no. Lot's of floral, spicy oriental, especially on the retrohale. Breaks apart and loads easily. Very nice.

A Look at STG Internal Documents Regarding the Mac Baren / Sutliff Buyout

I wonder too if this means Savinelli Doblone d'Oro is gone since it's produced by MacBaren?
